Chevrolet has launched the latest salvo in this thin-wallet performance war with the 2008 Cobalt SS. Volt could break 100 mpg ceiling if EPA approves

The Chevrolet Volt could be on its way to being the first mass-produced vehicle rated at 100 mpg or more. To ensure that happens, General Motors is asking the EPA to declare the Volt an electric vehicle for regulatory purposes. GM spokesman Rob Peterson said the California Air Resources Board has given the Volt preliminary certification as an electric. (more…)

Chevrolet Gives Sneak Peek at Production Camaro Convertible

General Motors announced long ago that Camaro prototypes wouldn’t be camouflaged during testing and has been releasing so-called official spy shots through its FastLane blog.

The latest spy shots are of the Camaro convertible and show a black car with the top up and down. We’re happy the convertible is as close to the concept car as the coupe is, and it should turn lots of heads once they start hitting the streets. (more…)
