The Chevrolet Volt could be on its way to being the first mass-produced vehicle rated at 100 mpg or more. To ensure that happens, General Motors is asking the EPA to declare the Volt an electric vehicle for regulatory purposes. GM spokesman Rob Peterson said the California Air Resources Board has given the Volt preliminary certification as an electric. (more…)
Saving the planet is a good idea, as long as we’re willing to make sacrifices or drastically change the way we live. General Motors announced long ago that Camaro prototypes wouldn’t be camouflaged during testing and has been releasing so-called official spy shots through its FastLane blog.
The latest spy shots are of the Camaro convertible and show a black car with the top up and down. We’re happy the convertible is as close to the concept car as the coupe is, and it should turn lots of heads once they start hitting the streets. (more…)
