GM not sending any bailout money to Brazilian operation
A story has surfaced on the Latin American Herald Tribune a publication we hadn't previously heard of stating that General Motors was planning to invest $1 billion in it's Brazilian operations to update its South American products. So far, that part of the story is true. However, that's where the truth apparently ends. The story goes on to say that GM plans to use money obtained from the proposed government bailout package to pay for the Brazilian investment. We contacted General Motors to check on the... She said governments should resist harking back to old-fashioned subsidy handouts to save jobs, as such national measures would only acerbate problems in other EU... Full article...

German solar energy company offers to buy Opel from GM
General Motors CEO Rick Wagoner has already stated that the only brand in his company's portfolio up for sale is HUMMER, but apparently this hasn't stopped interested parties from making their play for other marques under the General's umbrella. LA 2008: Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder unveiled LIVE
When we got word that Lamborghini was bringing a new model to the LA Auto Show, it wasn't hard to guess what it would be: the Gallardo LP560-4 Spyder. Our hunch was confirmed earlier this morning when pictures flooded the internet, and we know have live shots from the show floor, along with more details... Full article...

Opel Insignia was announced 2009 Car of the Year in Europe, which was great news for General Motors after all the sad stages the company is going through... Full article...
