TOKYO -- Honda Motor Co. named Takanobu Ito, head of core automaking operations, as its new chief executive Monday, in an effort to provide fresh leadership to battle a global crisis in the auto industry. TOKYO -- Mazda Motor Corp. said Wednesday it expects a loss for the fiscal year, as the carmaker braces for brutal results over the fourth quarter from the strong yen and plummeting sales in the U.S. Mazda lowered its forecast to a 13 billion yen $144.4 million net loss over the fiscal year through March, down from its previous forecast of a 50 billion yen profit.
