Gas prices could force cuts at Chrysler
NORFOLK, Va. -- Chrysler chairman and CEO Robert Nardelli said Friday the company might see the need to get rid of some larger vehicle models or further shrink capacity if gas prices continued to rise. Chrysler extends $2.99/gallon gas offer another month
Much hubub has been made over the current Let's Refuel America program in which buyers can choose to lock in the price of gasoline at $2.99/gallon for three years courtesy of Chrysler LLC, but the incentive has apparently been successful. Chrysler extends gasoline subsidy
DETROIT -- Chrysler is extending for another month its offer to subsidize customers' gasoline prices for three years. The deal caps gas at $2.99 per gallon with Chrysler paying the rest. Update: Chrysler today extended its $2.99 a gallon fuel promotion by another month, citing increased traffic at both dealers and Web sites. The program, launched May 7, was originally set to expire June 2 but now will expire July 7.
