2012 launch expected for Audi Q1
Audi bosses have hinted at launching a new compact SUV-crossover positioned below the recently revealed Q5 but an even smaller soft-roader is expected to be launched to help the carmaker reach its goal of delivering 40 different models by 2015. The new entry-level soft-roader is likely to be called the Q1 and latest reports claim it won’t come onto the market until late 2012 at the earliest. BMW-specialist AC Schnitzer has released its latest aero kit for the facelifted 6-series coupe and cabrio and has added a host of performance upgrades as well. The changes continue at the rear with a new, slightly smoother rear skirt and BMW’s facelifted taillights. Other changes include new side skirts, which now... Full article...

Along with Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati, Alfa Romeos personify the image of Italian motoring with their sporty overtones and curvaceous lines, however some of the brand’s most admired models were in fact created by an American designer. As fuel prices rise, hybrids pay off sooner
The price penalty for the added complexity of a hybrid drivetrain has always been a bit of a concern for those looking to not just save fuel, but to save money. In some calculations from a decade ago, popular hybrids would have taken as much as eight or ten years to repay in fuel savings the cost of the car over an equivalent non-hybrid model. But today’s fuel prices are closing that gap - in some cases down to just 18 months. In the United States, $4 per gallon gasoline is a nightmare soon to be... Full article...

Aston Martin not for sale, new engine deal in negotiation
Dave Richards, the boss of one of Aston Martin’s biggest investors, Prodrive, has quelled speculation that the British carmaker could be up for sale once again following reports earlier this month claiming Kuwaiti-based investment firm Investment Dar would sell its 50% stake in the company. Speaking at the Nürburgring 24-hour race last weekend, Richards said the speculation arose from previous rumors that suggested Aston Martin was in talks with Mercedes-Benz over an engine-sharing deal.
