Alfa Romeo 169
Alfa Romeo's planned 2009 return to the United States revolves around a multi-tiered approach. When the Italian brand lands on our shores, it will likely bring with it four distinctly different models not counting the 8C Competizione, of which just 500 examples will be built: a small hatchback the Mi.To, a small sport coupe the Brera, a mid-size sedan a face-lifted version of the current 159, and a full-size notchback sedan.Of those models, the big sedan will be the newest. That car, dubbed... Full article...

Alfa Romeo design chief resigns
Along with Ferrari, Lamborghini and Maserati, Alfa Romeos personify the image of Italian motoring with their sporty overtones and curvaceous lines, however some of the brand’s most admired models were in fact created by an American designer. Now, less than a year out from Alfa Romeo’s official return to the U.S., American Frank Stephenson, has quit his role as chief designer. Cars developed under his guidance include the first Alfa Romeo in years to be headed for the U.S., the new 8C Competizione... Full article...

New Alfa Romeo Duetto
Cyberspace is rife with speculation about a new small Alfa Romeo convertible, which could be an indicator of one of two things: either the quintessential Italian automaker has got one such spider in the works, or it's just plain old wishful thinking. Rumors suggest a revival of the Alfa Romeo Duetto, popularized by Dustin Hoffman in The Graduate, which could feature a retractable hard-top for motoring al fresco under the Tuscan sun or closed again for parking in Rome and winding through the Alps. Along... Full article...

Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione
Long ago, when women of fashion were dressed by a personal tailor who accepted no other clients and wouldn't dream of going into retail, men of means drove handmade sports cars that seldom logged many miles before being returned to the tender mercies of the local mechanic. Such a gentleman typically garaged his long-nosed, spindly wheeled dream machine during the week, took it out for the weekend, then returned it to the mechanic on Monday morning with a list of needed repairs. He appreciated its... Full article...

Alfa Romeo Concept Actually Being Produced
The Alpha Romeo Bertone BAT 11 looks like someone stole it from the future. Apparently the once concept car is actually hitting production. If you call making 25-50 "hitting production". I already put my name on the list, along with this guy and this guy, which means we'll probably be seeing D&G and rubidium covered models soon. There's not too much information on the car's stats, minus it goes fast and runs on the blood of virgins instead of oil. Thankfully my girlfriend promised to save... Full article...

2012 Maserati Sports Car
It's a clear hint of a more dynamic Maser, competing not only with Aston's V8 Vantage, but also with Porsche's 911.Maserati has been through some tough times. But after years of loss, the Italian sports-car maker finally returned to profit in 2007. The comeback was possible because of new models like the Quattroporte Automatic and the brand-new GranTurismo luxury coupe. Demand for Maseratis has been growing, pushing production to an all-time high of about 9000 cars. Maserati CEO Roberto Ronchi talks of... Full article...

Alfa Romeo 3.2 V6
Fortunately, such nonsense has yet to filter through to Alfa Romeo's design studios! Here, the only brief for a new car is to make it sexy, fast and desirable. The all-new Brera, which replaces the much-loved but ageing GTV, is an Alfa from the old school. Due to hit the UK next April, the powerhouse coupe will top the firm's restructured line-up. Two engines will be available from launch: a base 2.2-litre four-cylinder unit and a range-topping 3.2-litre V6, which is linked to a new hi-tech... Full article...
