2009 Acura TSX
Acura started the event in New York with a rush. As music pounded a rhythm designed to stir emotions to a fever pitch, the new 2009 Acura TSX sprang from undercover at full speed, stopping just as quickly at center stage. A few more feet and it would have been sitting in my lap. With an entrance like this, who needs coffee in the morning?“With powerful looks and performance, the debut of the new TSX has taken an enthusiastic bite out of the Big Apple,” said Dick Colliver, executive vice... What In The World Is Wrong At Lexus?
Listen to the news and watch the figures, and there is little doubt the economy is in turmoil.  This is often echoed by manufacturers who lead us to believe  the ground had shifted below them and they were caught with too many gas guzzling SUV’s on the lots. While I have no doubt to a degree this is true, it isn’t the main reason all of the manufactures are slumping. The simple fact remains some brands appeal to different demographics, and those groups in general may be more... 2010 Acura NSX
Honda works on the new model of Acura NSX and seems like the company had some changes for the car since the Nürnburg show, Germany, in June. The auto with the face of a wild cat lost its zebra stripes and received a very popular now silver color. At the Nürnburg 2010 Acura NSX made its red-hot lap within 7 minutes and 37 seconds. One of the reasons of the good result is the car does not have enormous rear wings as other autos do. Some people project it can do at least 10 seconds better at the autumn... Full article...

Auto dependability scores improve
Industrywide the long-term dependability of cars and trucks increased 5 percent, but General Motors Corp. saw many of its volume brands slip in a three-year J.D. Power and Associates quality study released this morning. Toyota Motor Corp.'s Lexus brand topped the 2008 Vehicle Dependability Study, the 14th consecutive year the brand held that position. Ford Motor Co. also faired well: All three of its brands scored marked improvements and the Ford brand's 7.7 percent decline in reported quality problems... Full article...

Lexus rates highest in latest J.D. Power dependability study, followed by Mercury and Cadillac
Lexus has once again taken top honors in the annual J.D. Power and Associates vehicle dependability study, a position it’s held for the past 14 years. Last year, however, saw Buick sharing the top spot but in the latest study the GM division has slipped to sixth place. The annual study looks at a number of measures in determining the dependability scores, but the key factor is the number of problems experienced by original owners of 3-year-old 2005 model year vehicles. The study found that, on... Full article...

2009 BMW X6
I must be missing the gene that makes high-riding vehicles appealing to so many other people. As a car enthusiast and an engineer, I can certainly appreciate the performance that companies like BMW and Infiniti have managed to wrangle from vehicles like the X6 and the EX35. But there is absolutely nothing in the new 2009 BMW X6 that couldn't be done better in a vehicle with a normal car-like ride height. After all, who is going off-roading in one of these? The best explanation I could get out of... Full article...
