2009 Nissan 370Z While all the buzz at Nissan has recently centered on the GT-R, the Tokyo-based company has quietly been working on the next-generation Z. We knew months ago that the 350Z would undergo a significant makeover, but now our friends at Mag X, Japan's leading car spy magazine, uncovered key elements in the upcoming Z's styling along with providing vital information. The first thing you notice when looking at the new Z is the headlights. They're an odd "V" shape, which creates a... Article added: 2008-06-27 07:25:19 Article Views Rating: 555
Nissan GT-R Spec V When speaking to the chief engineer and project manager of the Nissan GT-R, Kazutoshi Mizuno, you get a sense he's providing hints as to what's in store next for Nissan's new 2+2. For instance, when you ask him how much power the GT-R has, he answers, "480 bhp...for now." Well, we recently received word that there will indeed be a new model added to the GT-R lineup, the GT-R Spec V, and it should be out sometime in the spring of 2009. NIssan GT-R The 2009 Nissan Skyline GT-R is a legend before it even enters production. Born from a long line of Skyline GT-Rs dating back to 1969, this latest version — "R35" to the hard-core — promises to pack more turbocharged power, more all-wheel-drive technology and more sheer speed than any Japanese car ever to come to America. For six years the 2009 Nissan Skyline GT-R has been the subject of intense rumors and frenzied speculation. Frequent sightings of GT-R test mules help fuel... Jeremy Clarkson Reviews Nissan GT-R: The problem is ... it’s out of this world The last time Nissan did a GT-R, it was based on the old two-door Skyline saloon. The company couldn’t do that this time round because the current Skyline saloon is too ghastly. So instead, a small team, in a hermetically sealed factory, set to work on a ground-up, handmade machine that would take the laws of physics and simply break them in half. The attention to detail has been extraordinary. For instance, the GT-R’s tyres are filled with nitrogen because ordinary air expands and contracts too... Article added: 2008-06-09 04:44:16 Article Views Rating: 254
Nissan presentation previews RWD sports coupe With all of the excitement surrounding the next-generation Nissan 370Z, it's sometimes easy to forget that its little rear-wheel-drive brother is on the way, as well. A few weeks ago, we shared some info about this future Nissan RWD coupe, and now we have an official photo to share that popped up at a Nissan GT 2012 meeting. Although fuzzy, it shows a bulging rear fender flare, tiny rear quarter window and swoopy side that we've already seen on some unofficial renderings. As we recently reported, Nissan... VIDEO: Nissan GT-R 7:29 'Ring run Video of Nissan's newly-mined 7:29 Nürburgring lap time has now surfaced on YouTube. The video comes courtesy of a fan recording a television screen at what looks to be a Nissan event display. The background noise is rather overbearing, but if you crank up the volume it is possible to catch a hint of the squealing tires and screaming engine. Those are the same street tires available off the showroom floor, along with supposedly stock engine specifications. Regardless of the equipment though, the... 2009 Nissan GT-R: The skyline is the limit FARMINGTON HILLS -- Most people around Detroit don't notice the GT-R. No lustful stares as you pass them. No one pointing, blurting car facts about Nissan: 480 horsepower, twin turbo 3.8-liter V-6, 430-pound-feet torque, a 3.5-second zero-to-60 time, all-wheel drive, aluminum rack-and-pinion steering rack and more technology under the hood than a Russian space mission. Detroiters don't know this car because they are either over 30 or have never played Grand Turismo on their Sony PlayStation. But they... Article added: 2008-06-02 06:48:25 Article Views Rating: 214
Video: Nissan GT-R scorches the ‘Ring in 7:29 At first glance the R35 Nissan GT-R is a physical paradox. The 3,800lb car’s 480hp twin-turbo V6 just shouldn’t be able to move it around like it does, and the base model’s 20-inch Dunlop Sport tires shouldn’t let it be thrown through the corners with such abandon, either. But the physics books are wrong, and Nissan has videographic proof. Filmed by a fan at what appears to be a Nissan event or factory garage, the video below shows the GT-R, as reported earlier this month...
