Financial crisis hits Ferrari! Montezemolo denies it! It is denied by Ferrari that it has been affected by the current global financial downturn, although it is in the process of laying off this week alone about 10 percent of its workers. The international sales of the Italian supercar manufacturer have plummeted from an estimated 600 a month to just 92 vehicles by the end of November and currently Ferrari is bargaining with Italy’s trade unions to reduce surplus road-car production employees.Ferrari has acknowledged that it could lay off as many as 300... 1995 Ferrari motorcycle to be auctioned Ferrari doesn't make motorcycles. At least, not officially... but that fact hasn't stopped a number of custom cycle makers from taking matters into their own hands. Perhaps the most famous Maranello-inspired two-wheeler was made by Arlen Ness, but that one's not all that practical in conception. We would imagine a Ferrari motorcycle to be a truly sporting machine, equally as comfortable on the race track as the street, or, more realistically, being shown off in one's garage. Ferrari seems to agree, as... Article added: 2008-12-08 06:20:00 Article Views Rating: 176

Ferrari may leave F1 if standard engine approved Could one unthinkable action be followed by another? It may be, if Formula 1 heads get their wish for a standard engine for the racing series. Both Toyota, a team near the bottom of the standings, and Ferrari, which is up near the top as it usually is, have expressed their concerns about such a plan, with both entities threatening to pull out of the racing series if such a path were taken. A Formula 1 world without Ferrari is practically unfathomable, as is seeing a Prancing Horse powered by a... Article added: 2008-12-04 15:19:05 Article Views Rating: 136

Wow, a Ferrari Enzo taxi found where else? The Middle East... This little gem in Muscat, Oman represents what you do when you have bodacious sums of money and time. Now we're all for having a little fun, but we're talking about an Enzo, which, while not the prettiest of Ferraris, still doesn't deserve to endure the eighth-level of Maaco paint-shop Hell. Whoever did this gets points for authenticity, even including the roof signage. If nothing else, we'd certainly go for a ride: as passenger to get anywhere in seven seconds, as driver, so we could say, imitating... Article added: 2008-11-27 08:21:37 Article Views Rating: 141
Fastest Man Alive gets dream drive in a Ferrari Usain Bolt now wears the mantle of Fastest Man Alive having set world records in the 100 and 200 meter sprints at last summer's Olympics in Beijing. Fitting then that he was placed in one of the fastest cars in the world recently to take a stroll around one of the richest places in the world: Monaco. In the principality for the IAAF awards, Bolt was given the keys to drive an F430 along portions of the F1 circuit in the city. You can check out the gallery of high-res photos below while we wait for word... Article added: 2008-11-27 08:21:34 Article Views Rating: 163

Right Round, Baby: Ferrari Scuderia Spider in 3D If you didn't waste enough time already with Ferrari's online configurator don't worry, that's not the only roadster the Prancing Horse people have unveiled recently. And since most of us won't get within spitting distance of any of the 499 examples of the Scuderia Spider 16M which will be rumbling out the gates of Maranello, Ferrari has given us this dizzying turntable simulator of the Spider's interior. Unfortunately, like the studio shots, Ferrari's fastest roadster yet is bathed in rather... Article added: 2008-11-26 06:44:09 Article Views Rating: 153 |
