Holden’s in-house tuner HSV recently took the wraps off a new super-sedan concept destined for production later in the year. The new concept was the HSV W427, a VE Commodore powered by the Corvette ZO6’s 7.0L LS7 V8 engine, and it was showcased last month at the Melbourne Motor Show. With these numbers the car will be able to sprint from 0-60mph in just 4.5 seconds and easily reach an electronically controlled top speed of 155mph. This puts it in BMW M5 and Audi RS6 territory, the exact segment Vauxhall is targeting for the new model. A company spokesman revealed the car is in the early stages of development and that it will feature a number of components developed from the racing version. Performance features of the concept include a carbon fiber rear spoiler, six-piston brakes, 20in wheels, a custom induction system and an uprated limited-slip differential, clutch and Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual gearbox. The car also features Magnetic Ride Suspension but it’s unclear what specifications the UK model will have. [source] Add your comment:
