General Motors is happy to announce that the sale of Saab and Opel is coming to the final talks. There have been several candidates, but the manufacturer has the number of them to final three for each brand. There have been 10 companies bidding on the Saab. GM says that May will be spent on talks with the final three. The automaker does not officially announce them, but according to one version the three candidates are BMW, Renault and Tata Motors, according to the other one Fiat is one of the potential purchasers of the Swedish brand. Opel is also going to be sold soon. One of the major candidates is the Canadian auto parts supplier Magna which plans to do it in partnership with Russian VAZ. The other two are Fiat and Ripplewood Holdings. The Italian automaker, Fiat is really active recently. If everything goes as the manufacturer plans, Fiat might merge with GM Europe and turn out as the number-two automaker in the world being behind only Toyota. [source] Add your comment:
