P-51 Mustang roars at Oshkosh | detnews.com | The Detroit News


Ford Motor Co. raised $250,000 for the Experimental Aircraft Association's Young Eagles program Thursday, auctioning off this one-of a kind aviation-themed Mustang at the organization's AirVenture gathering in Oshkosh, Wis. The Mustang AV-X10 "Dearborn Doll," which sports a paint scheme inspired by the World War II P-51 Mustang fighter and the 10-millionth engine to roll off the line at Ford's Romeo Engine Plant, was purchased by Tom Gonzalez of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
