New 2009 MB E-class spy pics |
We’ve got the inside story on the latest Mercedes E-Class! Our spies have captured the clearest pictures yet of the BMW 5-Series rivalling newcomer, including the first shots of its interior.As you can see, the cabin is strongly influenced by the S-Class luxury saloon. A large centre console is topped by multi-media display screen, which is controlled by the COMAND wheel located between the front seats.
Externally, the saloon takes its cues from the recently launched C-Class, with a steeply rising waistline and distinctive character lines. At the front are bold sweptback headlamps, while moving around to the back of the car reveals LED tail lights.
Hi-tech systems will be a major feature of the mid-size Merc. PRE-SAFE collision warning, an ESP system that automatically adjusts the steering to compensate for cross winds and a range BlueTec diesel engines will all be available.
Expect to see the E-Class make its first public appearance at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show.
