Mazda 5 Reviews

Total RRP £18,900

Advantages: Good to drive and practical: the rear sliding doors allow easy access
Disadvantages: Ride is quite firm and there is some noise at higher speeds
Summary: An excellent MPV which offers good value for money in a stylish and solid package

Mazda's most recent foray into the MPV market with the Mazda 5 has ruffled the competition's feathers with its enjoyable drive and emphasis on good value for money. All engines provide plenty of power and the ride has been engineered to offer good feedback to the driver, making it a sporty drive at the expense of some of the car's refinement due to a noticeably firm suspension setup. However it works well and rewards the enthusiastic driver. Equipment levels across the Mazda 5 range are excellent, which underlines the focus on providing good value and safety levels are high, particularly on the Sport with its stability control as standard. Mazda are well known for building solid cars and there would be no reason for the 5 to buck this trend - so residuals should prove to be strong - and discount levels through AutoeBid's reverse auction are excellent.
