AVTOVAZ will represent its main premier – the concept – car of cross-over of class – LADA C – Cross at the Moscow International Automotive Salon – 2008.
It was created at the same platform as the three – doors hatchback LADA C, represented last year at the automotive salon in Geneva, Moscow and other russian cities. Like its forerunner, the new concept – car has to show the perspective direction in the development of the model range LADA. The style solution of the concept – car corresponds the global tendencies for cars of class SUV. The new cross – over has an original graphic and color solution of the interior, a new performance of gitter, as well as beige – brown color called “cinnamon”.
According to exclusive information of “AUTOSTAT” the size of the car is 4410 mm of length and 1812 mm of width, 1557 mm of height. The volume of luggage space is 350 cubic dm, the laden mass is 1370 kg, the paying load exceeds 500 kg. It is planned to install an engine of volume about 2 liters under the engine jacket of the new VAZ cross – over. A priori, the fuel consumption in the mixed cycle is 8, 2 liters for 100 km, and the highest speed reaches 190 km/h.
As it was reported for “AUTOSTAT”, at the present moment AVTOVAZ and Renault are developing a conception of the model range LADA, which will define the destiny of LADA C – Cross. It could be output at platform Renault Megane or with use of units and sets of Renault.
As the analysts of “AUTOSTAT” note, there is a tendency in the segment of SUV cars: the SUV cars of foreign, especially of japanese makes, obtain the bigger share. That is why AVTOVAZ, which manufactures LADA 4x4 Niva and delivers automotive sets to GM – AVTOVAZ for production of Chevrolet Niva, intends to enter a more expensive price segment of SUV cars (which is also more perspective) with LADA C-Cross
