In the realm of homemade or DIY trikes, the Marotti would probably be the king. The trike uses the best in the world of motorcycles and cars, and finally merges it all with a jet-like shape. Power comes from a 100hp Honda V4 engine that when combined with its low 970 lbs (440kg) weight, gives an excellent power-to-weight ratio of 4.4hp per kg.
The trike is built on a steel frame, and all the power from the engine goes to the lone rear wheel by means of a chain. It has a low center of gravity, and an aerodynamic shape to suit better with all the fun and acceleration it has on offer. The jet-like body-kit probably suits well with that excellent power to weight ratio and the quick movement it has on offer.
