Selling a big auto manufacturing company is not easy and quick. It has been almost a year since the American automakers announced that they would like to give up certain brands. Some deals are already over, but the others have not found good buyers so far. A Chinese company Geely Automobile has joined the bidders that want to purchase Volvo Car from Ford. While making this bold step the Asian manufacturer has admitted that it would not be able to complete the deal without help. The chief-executive of Geely, Gui Shengyue said that the parent company, Geely Holdings Group "may team up with domestic investment partners to facilitate the deal". Although the offered price is not announced the media says that Geely is the only company that is firm and serious about the Volvo purchase. The Chinese automaker believes that Volvo will open the doors for global market helping Geely to become competitive to the world leading brands and tto improve its technologies. Two other Chinese companies: Beijing Automotive Industry Corp. And Chang’an Auto Group also planned to bid on Volvo, but gave up the idea. Ford is going to announce the prefered bidder in the end of this month. [source] Add your comment:
