Toyota is not the only auto manufacturer which decided to create a luxury hybrid supercar. Lexus LF-A is going to have a competitor born in the Ferrari plants. The Chairman, Luca di Montezemolo, says the Italian car maker is really working on the development of a new Ferrari, which can be flexible in fuel and use both gas and electricity. We know the announcements like this can be made many years before a company sets the vehicle for the production. Though, Italians have already bragged about the new vehicle, the new hybrid Ferrari will have to wait at least till 2015. This means, Lexus LF-A can breathe freely for several years having no competitors at all. The work on the hybrid Ferrari is slowed down by the other projects the company had for the future. One of the main things they are working on right now is the reduce of the CO2 emission by 40% by 2012. As soon as the technologies for this will be developed, the Italian manufacturer can freely work on the development and production of their new hybrid. [source] Add your comment:
