Consumer Reports Tells about American Automakers |
Consumer Reports magazine has made it very clear that Ford has excellent reputation among customers while Chrysler needs to get back on its feet and fight for the shoppers’ trust all over.
The research was done under “buy American” motto. The results have come rather positive: 81% consumers are ready to shop for a vehicle made by the native manufacturers and Ford is the leader in this group. Consumer Reports claims Ford’s success was built on the company’s aversion to accepting any federal help with the appeal to consumers.
Chrysler is down this year because of the trials it had to go through. Bankruptcy and merge with Fiat did not benefit the company and it is obvious that Italian automaker is more concerned about its expansion to American market than about the Chrysler’s restructuring.
GM is in the middle between the two. Many consumers would consider a GM vehicle for a purchase, but the total number did not change significantly comparing to previous years.
