Audi anticipates record sales in 2008


Many of the automakers have been placed on the edge with regards to their finances due to the global economic downturn, but Audi, the German luxury brand, is anticipating having one more year of excellent growth. Audi vehicles are projected to surpass one million units this year, and from this figure it would seem that Audi’s aim of vending 1.5 million vehicles by the year 2015 is well within their grasp.

Audi’s quite discreet CEO Rupert Stadler discussed the impacts that the global economic crisis has had on Audi with Automotive News Europe, and in spite of its success for this year he underscored that the circumstances has affected everyone in one way or another. Pointing on Audi’s success because of its young model range, which comprises of the new Q5 SUV and a large number of other niche versions, Stadler was proud of the company’s assortment of vehicles that were proving to be well-liked among buyers even during a market slump.
