As is the way of hot-topic cars and the Internet, the Camaro has been revealed in production trim several days ahead of its planned debut. GM will have full details and a flotilla of photos on Monday, but until then three photos, including one of the interior, have been leaked for your viewing pleasure. Not much is surprising in these shots, but the leaked information that comes along with them indicates that the car will be available at launch with either six-speed manual or automatic transmissions, the expected 296hp (220kW) V6 and 416hp (310kW) V8 and the show will be hauled to a stop by four-pot Brembos at each corner. Standard U.S.-market models are tipped to include LS, LT and SS models, but the car pictured wears an RS badge, which could either hint at a fourth trim level or merely be a UK-market replacement for one of the existing trims. The car also benefits from fully independent suspension and stability control, though once the new Camaro starts hitting dealer lots, that’ll be rapidly disengaged to enable the first production car burnouts. Weight distribution is pegged at 52/48 front/rear, with overall weight tipping the scales at a hefty 3,740lb (1,700kg).
