Chrysler is having hard times and to avoid unnecessary expenses the auto manufacturer is planning very limited program for the 2009 Detroit Auto Show. Many of the things are going to be cancelled and as the company’s spokesman wrote at the corporate blog, it will be “less glitz and no giveaways”. First of all Chrysler gave up the free tickets for its executives to attend the black-tie charity preview at the show and free media lunches. There will also be no iconic Jeep waterfall that used to be at the Chrysler stand with the Dodge Ram horns. The manufacturer planned to host the media at the Firehouse hall across the street from the Detroit Auto Show, but a few days ago Chrysler gave up this idea. The visitors will still see the new projects from the American automaker: Chrysler is going to have a stand at the show which will be indoors this time and the people won’t have to be outside in the cold. The main feature for the auto show will be the presentation of a few fuel efficient vehicles which become so famous these days.
