2008 London Auto Show: Renault Mégane R26.R |
Renault is preparing a big presentation for the Paris Auto Show and the show in London is chosen as one more advertising place for new Mégane R26.R.
This new model is a good representation of the high sport technologies the French auto maker has. Many parts of the new auto like engine, gearbox and LSD come from Mégane F1 Team R26. In addition to this the new Renault receives unique suspension and carbon-fiber hood which reduces weight of the vehicle.
You can see at the picture, Mégane R26 really stands out from the other autos with its red 18-inch wheels. Graphics on the side adds more uniqueness to it. Other features you might notice when you come to the show are the special spoiler, tinted carbonated backlight, race-inspired cockpit and six-point racing harnesses.
There will be limited number of Méganes. Alpine factory in Dieppe, which starts the Mégane assembling this fall, is going to make only 450 cars. Right after the Paris Auto Show in October the company will start selling Mégane R26 in U.K., France, Germany, Spain and Switzerland.
