1961 Ferrari 250 GT California goes for $10 Million at auction |
While pricing for the new Ferrari California is still yet to be released, the 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spyder went for $10.9 million at RM Auctions this past weekend. DJ Chris Evans cashed out €7,040,000 for the Ferrari which was originally expected to go for a winning bid of €3.5 million.A Ferrari 250 GT California sold last year at an RM Auction at the Concorse d’Eligance for $4.5 million dollars. Evans $10.9 million purchase obviously breaks that record getting him behind the wheel of a dark blue version that used to be owned by The Magnificent Seven star, James Coburn.
